TCRT5000L Reflective Optical Sensor

The TCRT5000L is a reflective optical sensor that uses an infrared emitter and phototransistor to detect objects. The sensor is compact, with the light source and detector arranged in the same direction. It works by transmitting infrared light from the LED and registering any reflected light on the phototransistor. The level of light received alters the flow of current between the emitter and collector. The TCRT5000L comes in a leaded package that blocks visible light and includes two mounting clips.
