Wiring & Pinout Guide

This ESC has three distinct sets of wires. Correct wiring is crucial to avoid damage.

1. Power Input (Thick Red & Black Wires):

   • Red: Connect to Battery Positive (+).

   • Black: Connect to Battery Negative (-).

   • Note: Ensure you solder a compatible connector (e.g., XT60 or Deans) matching your battery.

2. Motor Output (3x Blue Wires):

   • Connect these three wires to the three wires of your brushless motor.

   • Tip: The order does not matter initially. If the motor spins in the wrong direction, simply swap any two of these three wires.

3. Control Signal (3-Pin Servo Connector):

   • White/Orange: Signal (PWM from Receiver/Microcontroller).

   • Red: 5V Output (Powers the receiver).

   • Black/Brown: Ground.

How ESC 30A Motor Speed Controller Works

Unlike brushed motors, brushless motors require a 3-phase AC signal to rotate.

1. The ESC takes DC power from your LiPo battery.

2. It reads the throttle signal (PWM) from your receiver or Arduino.

3. It rapidly switches the power to the three blue wires in a specific sequence, creating a rotating magnetic field that drives the motor. The speed of this switching determines the motor’s RPM.
